Harley Davidson performer RPM camshaft Kit installation guide
The Harley-Davidson Twin-Cam engines with an Edelbrock performer RPM cam tool kit is intended to improve peak horsepower, but retain a wide range of torque and improved rideability still 2,800-6,000 + RPM. Edelbrock performer RPM power package used in these cameras are supported over 100hp wheels 95 "Twin Cam. Before you begin the installation, read the following: Note: a number of special tools and expertise, we recommend that a qualified mechanic or dealer should perform the following steps, which are part of the Harley-Davidson service manual. Installation: 1. remove the battery and disconnect the fuel tank. 2. On the engines oil tank above the motor to drain the engine oil. 3. remove the remove the Cam Housing cover in front of the exhaust pipe. 4. remove the rocker cover and remove the four bolts 5/16 ", and two 1/4" bolts holding the rocker arms in place. Delete removed the rocker arms stock push rods. All the bolts off remove the cam base plate and a beak. (Note: be careful, the oil pump rotors fall out. Remove the support plate carefully and make sure that the oil pump rotors are still there after deletion. If the rotors to drop, see the service manual for assembly plant.) Check the cam, the trend to use the straight edge (see Figure 8). Install the snap-ring onto the front of the cam shaft and check the cam shaft again. Install the bearing to maintain control, make sure the Torx-screws threads are clean, using a drop of blue Loctite on each bolt threads. Torque Torx bolts to 20-30 inch-lbs.

Building the ultimate "bolt-on components," silencer and carburetor, the engine: re-jet to install air conditioning cleaner Kit installing the ignition system, install the ignition coil spark plugs wires, check the street bike dyno tune to mount on the bike. These changes are 80-120 HP at the rear wheel in the late model 80 CID Harley-Davidson big twin evolution engine. Construction phase 3 engine: the clamping drain battery, fuel tank, remove the heads, cylinder and piston, remove the cam, lifter and lifter blocks, cylinders, new pistons to install ignition, remove the exhaust baffles, set the static ignition timing, testing Road bike mount.

Harley Davidson Crankcase Installation Instructions
SAFE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION RULES: Before installing your new S&S part it is your responsibility to read and follow the installation and maintenance procedures in these instructions and follow the basic rules below for your personal safety. Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive under certain conditions and toxic when inhaled. Do not smoke. Perform installation in a well ventilated area away from open flames or sparks. Before performing any installation steps disconnect battery to eliminate potential sparks and inadvertent engagement of starter while working on electrical components. Consult an appropriate service manual for your motorcycle for correct disassembly and reassembly procedures for any parts that need to be removed to facilitate installation.
For optimum performance and safety and to minimize potential damage to carb or other components, use all mounting hardware that is provided and follow all installation instructions. S&S parts are designed exclusively for use in Harley-Davidson and other American v-twin motorcycles. S&S shall have no warranty or liability obligation if an S&S part is used in any other application. S&S crankcase assemblies for Harley-Davidson Twin Cam 88 non-counterbalanced engine applications. Installation can be performed by any Harley-Davidson repair shop equipped to do complete engine overhauls. No special tools other than those used in normal engine building operations are required. Assemble case halves using case bolts. Tighten to snug. Torquing bolts to final specification is not necessary. Install engine mounting bolts in motor mounts, and check clearance between mounting bosses on cases and frame and any other areas where frame and cases may contact each other. Bolts may be difficult to install if contact is severe. For installations using a transmission mounted oil tank,It is easier to connect the oil hoses between the transmission and engine by installing the Conduit Block.

Harley Davidson oil recommendations
Harley Davidson recommends, as well as the gear lube motorcycle oils for their equipment, and there are many different models of oil corresponding to the recommendations. Different recommendations can cause confusion and distrust of the AMSOIL lubricant recommendations. The following charts describe the product recommendations listed in the Harley Davidson products, in the right order. Harley Davidson recommends SAE 50 engine oil SAE 60 or fixed head Knucklehead, Panhead, and Horn-equipped bikes. AM-soil recommends 60 or MCV 20W AHR-SAE 50 motor bike engine oil for vintage models. AMSOIL SVT or SVO to use broadcasts can be found on these models. Horn is the only model with a chain, so that through the engine oil to lubricate. AMSOIL recommends MCV 20W-50 motorcycle oil in all 3 holes (engine, transmission and the development of the primary chain case, 1340) and all Twin Cam engine. AMSOIL recommends the SVT secondary oil migration and SVO older broadcasting option. New gaskets are recommended, if excessive leaking is obvious. Ironhead Sportsters and V-Rod, use one of the lubricant, as well as the engine and transmission, AMSOIL recommends MCV moot-cle oil common sump.

Harley Davidson Carburetor adjustment instructions
REMOVAL of the CARBURETOR with an Edelbrock recommends consulting a certified service-guide to the make, model and year of the motorcycle before dismantling the equipment parts. 1. turn off the fuel valve before you start. 2. disconnect the battery remove the possibility of sparks or accidentally engage the starter. 3. disconnect the air cleaner. 4. remove the choke cable on its bracket. 5. disconnect the fuel line and vacuum lines to carburetor. 6. gently remove the carburetor and manifold. The MANIFOLD requirements of the Edelbrock quick kits and complete kits are designed to work with the stock manifold that OE is the engine. Aftermarket blocks works with an Edelbrock Carburetors. S S "E" & series and Screamin ' Eagle flange mount blocks works with an Edelbrock flange style Carburetors. Edelbrock Carburetors, CARBURETOR Setup out of the box ready to be installed onto the engine. 1. remove the cable bracket on the right side of the head and install the throttle cables into the cable wheel "pull" cable, locating the cable to the bicycle from 08: 00 to 11: 00 position and locating the cable wheel-set to "push" the cable.
