Harley Davidson performer RPM camshaft Kit installation guide
The Harley-Davidson Twin-Cam engines with an Edelbrock performer RPM cam tool kit is intended to improve peak horsepower, but retain a wide range of torque and improved rideability still 2,800-6,000 + RPM. Edelbrock performer RPM power package used in these cameras are supported over 100hp wheels 95 "Twin Cam. Before you begin the installation, read the following: Note: a number of special tools and expertise, we recommend that a qualified mechanic or dealer should perform the following steps, which are part of the Harley-Davidson service manual. Installation: 1. remove the battery and disconnect the fuel tank. 2. On the engines oil tank above the motor to drain the engine oil. 3. remove the remove the Cam Housing cover in front of the exhaust pipe. 4. remove the rocker cover and remove the four bolts 5/16 ", and two 1/4" bolts holding the rocker arms in place. Delete removed the rocker arms stock push rods. All the bolts off remove the cam base plate and a beak. (Note: be careful, the oil pump rotors fall out. Remove the support plate carefully and make sure that the oil pump rotors are still there after deletion. If the rotors to drop, see the service manual for assembly plant.) Check the cam, the trend to use the straight edge (see Figure 8). Install the snap-ring onto the front of the cam shaft and check the cam shaft again. Install the bearing to maintain control, make sure the Torx-screws threads are clean, using a drop of blue Loctite on each bolt threads. Torque Torx bolts to 20-30 inch-lbs.
